Robbery in Kingston November 22, 2008

Crime Stoppers and the Kingston Police are asking for your help in solving a violent robbery that occurred on the 22nd of November 2008.

At 5:00 a.m., the victim was walking on Johnson Street near the Hotel Dieu Hospital when a male approached him and asked for spare change. The suspect was not satisfied with the amount he was given, so he threw it down and demanded the victim’s wallet. The victim was punched in the face when he refused and a struggle ensued. The suspect used a sharp edged weapon to cut the victim’s hands and neck area; before fleeing.

The suspect is a white male, 30 to 40 years old, around 6'0" tall, with a slim build, he was unshaven, wore a dark coloured toque and an old dark brown leather jacket that had faded areas on the shoulders and chest.

The suspect was believed to be high on drugs and it is believed that he frequents the downtown area.
