Help Solve a Home Invasion


Crime Stoppers and Leeds County OPP officers are hoping that you have information that will help them solve a vicious home invasion.
In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 5th, 2007, the suspect forced their way into the home of the victim, a 77-year-old woman. This home is located on County Road 2, in the area of Hudson Point Road in Elizabethown-Kitley Township. When confronted, the suspect beat the elderly victim unconscious, then fled the house in an unknown means and direction of travel. The motive for the break, enter and assault is also unknown.
A person of interest, seen in the area of this residence that same morning, is described as a tanned, white male, between 35 and 40 years of age, weighing 170-180 lbs., 5'9" tall with very short dark hair. He is believed to have been wearing a dark purple or maroon coloured T-shirt, black shorts and black safety style shoes.
This composite sketch has been created of the male who may have information about this crime.

Crime of the Week - February 20, 2008

Kingston Police are asking for the publics help to locate a $20,000 generator, stolen from a job site at Centennial Drive and Highway 401construction site in late January.
The 20-kilowatt generator looks like a large, white steel box on wheels, so it can be towed. It is a Caterpillar brand generator owned by Battlefield Rentals and can be identified by the owner and the police, if found.

Following the brutal beating of an 18 year-old man on Princess Street in Kingston on Monday, February 4th, police are looking to the public to help identify his assailants.
The victim was standing outside Smijies Bar and Grill just after midnight, when 2 men knocked him to the ground and stole his cell phone and $80 cash. The victim suffered a fractured skull as a result.
His attackers are both white males, one 6'2" and the other 5'6" tall, both wearing dark, hooded coats.

Theft of Jewellery


Kingston Police are investigating the heist of over $100,000 worth of jewellery from the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour building on Yonge Street.
Overnight, February 2nd to 3rd, the suspects made off with the gems, that were part of the weekend-long Cabin Fever Antique show. It is believed that the thief hid out in the building overnight, took the jewellery, then made their escape.

Crime of the Week January 7, 2008 - Theft & BandE

Kingston Police are investigating the theft of 2 cameras from a vehicle parked in the victim’s driveway.
Overnight January 19-20th, thieves broke into car owned by the west-end resident and stole a camcorder and a digital camera. The cameras can be replaced, but not the memories contained on the film and memory stick inside.

Loyalist OPP officers need your help identify the suspects that broke into three businesses located at the Island View Plaza on Speers Blvd. in Amherstview.
Between 4 and 4:30 a.m. on Monday January 21st the suspect gained entry to all three units, by prying open the front doors. The cash registers were then pried open and paper currency only, stolen from the tills.
