News for week of January 30th - Theft of Snowmobile and Robbery Suspect Sought

Thieves in Odessa, took advantage of a 1 ½ hour window and stole a snowmobile from the back of the owners green Dodge Ram truck, when it was parked at the car park at County Road 4 and Highway 401.
The sled was stolen between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 12th. It is a black & orange, 2004 Ski-doo GSX Limited, with a 800 cc engine.

Napanee OPP officers need your help to catch a thief that robbed the Richmond Grocery Store on Bridge Street West.
The male, balaclava-clad bandit confronted the clerk on Saturday, January 19the at 8:30 p.m. and fled on foot with cash. The suspect was also wearing a blue, plaid coat and is 5'7" with a slim build.

ATV Stolen - News for week of January 23rd, 2008

Napanee OPP officers hope you can help with the recovery of a stolen ATV, taken overnight, December 19th, 2007, from a County Road 9 residence.
The Yamaha Rhino is camouflage green in colour with black roll bars and wooden doors. It had a plexi-glass windshield and was bearing Ontario plates 15LM0. It is valued at $17,000. The keys were in it at the time of the theft.

Crime Stoppers and Napanee OPP officers are hoping someone in the public has some information that would help them solve an attempted theft of snowmobiles.
At 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday December 12th, 2007, police responded to an alarm at Cartronics, located on Richmond Blvd. Thieves had broken into a locked compound and one snowmobile was found abandoned behind the business. Police believe at least three individuals were involved in this incident.
One young male was seen running and getting into a red, Ford Mustang that was parked at the Petro Canada gas station on Centre Street, two blocks from the break-in.

Crime of the Week for January 3, 2008

Loyalist OPP officers are concerned about a theft of four firearms from a residence on Brown Road.
During the afternoon of Monday, November 12th the suspect forced open the main door of a vacant farm house.
After forcing open the door of the gun cabinet, the thief then helped themselves to a Remington 30-06 rifle, a Winchester 12-gauge shotgun, a Browning 12-gauge semi-auto shotgun and a Browning .22, semi-automatic pistol.

Napanee OPP are investigating a break-in to the A.M. Sports store, located at the Strathcona Paper Centre.
Overnight, Sunday, November 25th, culprits smashed a window leading into the store, then removed between 5 and 10 thousand dollars worth of sports equipment, clothing and memorabilia.
