Kingston Police Service

Crime Stoppers and Kingston Police are looking to the public for information on the Cold Case murder of Valerie Anastacia Drew.

On September 25, 1970 at about 3:30 in the afternoon, 13-year old Valerie of Wiley Street, accompanied two male friends north from her residence, to Highway 401. When Valerie failed to return home, a search of the wooded area they would have traversed, was made two days later. Valeries deceased body was located, obscured by brush and weeds in the area which is now south of Connacher Drive. Evidence indicated she had been the victim of a homicide.

Kingston Police are offering a reward of $25,000 (until mid-September 2007) for evidence leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Valerie Drew. If you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers will always pay a reward of up to $2,000 for this information.

Crime Stoppers and Kingston Police are looking to the public to shed some light on the Cold Case disappearance and believed homicide, of Thomas Gencarelli .

November 12th, 1982 was the last time that Thomas Gencarelli was seen. At the time of his disappearance, 22 year-old Thomas was 182 lbs, 5'9" tall with brown hair and brown eyes. His dental records are on file.

Kingston Police are offering a reward of $25,000 (until mid-September 2007) for evidence leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Tom Gencarelli, and/or information leading to the location and recovery of his remains. If you wish to remain anonymous however, Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for this information.

Crime Stoppers and Kingston Police are looking to the public for information on the Cold Case murder of Henrietta Knight.

On Friday, June 2nd, 1995 just before 4 p.m., 92 year old victim Henrietta Knight answered a knock to the front door of her MacDonnell Street She was viciously attacked and forcibly confined by a male intruder. After a lengthy period of time, the suspect was able to locate some money before leaving the residence.

Despite her severe injuries, Mrs. Knight was able to free herself and obtain assistance from a neighbour. She was transported to hospital by ambulance, however succumbed to those injuries 5 months later.

Kingston Police are offering a reward of $25,000 (until mid-September 2007) for evidence leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Henrietta Knight. Crime Stoppers and Kingston Police are looking to the public for information on the Cold Case murder of Marion Adelaide Joyce.

On Saturday, March 30th, 2002 at approximately 9:15 p.m., 74 year old Marion Joyce was found murdered in her residence located on Meadowcrest Road. Mrs. Joyce was a physically disabled senior citizen who lived with her son at the residence.

Kingston Police are offering a reward of $25,000 for evidence leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Marion Joyce. If you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for this information.

Crime Stoppers and Kingston Police are looking to the public for information on the Cold Case death of Jeffrey Leveque.

On Tuesday, May 2nd, 1989 at approximately 3:50 p.m., an explosion occurred which completely demolishing the residence situated at 13 Shaw Street. 20 year old Jeffrey Leveque and another male were both killed in the explosion. Three other males were also seriously in the incident, but ultimately survived.

Crime Stoppers and Kingston Police are looking to the public for information on the Cold Case murder of Viva Bernice Mack.

On Wednesday, November 3rd, 1993 at approximately 9 in the morning, the body of 63 year old Viva Mack was discovered in her apartment at 1508 Princess Street. Family members had attended her apartment as they had been unable to contact her since the previous day. The investigation revealed this to be a particularly violent murder and items were taken from the apartment.

Mrs. Mack was a widowed, retired citizen living alone at the time of her death.

Kingston Police are offering a reward of $25,000 (until mid-Setpember 2007) for evidence leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Viva Mack. Crime Stoppers and Kingston Police are looking to the public for information on the Cold Case disappearance and presumed murder of Christine Ziomkewicz.

On June 23, 1978 Christine Zionkewicz disappeared from her Park Street home and has not been seen or heard from since that time. At the time of her disappearance, she was 27 years old and employed by QueenМs University. She was 100 lbs., 5'3" tall with brown hair and hazel eyes. Her dental records are available. The investigation revealed that her vehicle was still in the buildingМs parking lot and there was nothing to indicate she had left intentionally for any period of time. She was not in a relationship at the time of her disappearance.

A lengthy investigation left detectives convinced that Christine had fallen victim to homicide. Her remains have yet to be located.

Ontario Provincial Police - East Region 

Crime Stoppers and the OPP need your assistance to solve a cold case homicide.

On October 21, 1989 the body of an unidentified male was discovered in an isolated area of County Road 14 in the former Camden East Township. He died as a result of foul play.

The victim is described as an Asian male, 35-55 years of age, 5'4" tall, 110-120 lbs., no missing teeth or dental work. He had straight black hair and was balding. He had been wearing gray slacks and a Hunt Club medium-sized pullover with black, red and grey diamond pattern. Of special note was an Рevil eyeП pendant that the victim had on a chain.

The Province is offering a $50,000 reward for information in this case. If you wish to remain anonymous, however, Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for this information.


Crime Stoppers and Leeds County OPP officers are looking to the public to shed some light on the cold case death of 25 year old Bradley Cromwell of Rockport, on the Old River Road.

In the very early morning hours of September 14, 2002 the victim, was found clinging to life after suffering head and chest injuries. He was pronounced dead later that morning at Brockville General Hospital. Evidence gathered indicates that a vehicle may have struck Mr. Cromwell. The person responsible may have been local to the area.

The Old River Road is a winding, gravel side road that runs parallel to the Thousand Island Parkway, which is a paved thorough fare. As such, the people who most commonly drive on Old River Road now, are residents of the road or visitors to those residents.

The Government of the Province of Ontario are offering a reward in the amount of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Brad Cromwell. If you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $2,000 for this information.

Crime Stoppers and Grenville OPP officers are investigating a hate crime spree which occurred over the weekend of May 7th, 2007.

Road signs, homes, wooden fence, an entire public school and even road pavement were spray painted with obscenities and swastikas in varying colours. The spree also included a smashed car window and the entire route littered with broken beer bottles. The area in Oxford Mills included Craig Road, Country Road 18, Water Street, Wellington, Hamilton, Bridge, Patterson Corners and County Road 20.

This is a senseless crime which costs us all in higher taxes and insurance costs to repair. Anyone with information about this hate crime or any other criminal activity, is asked to please call Crime Stoppers.


Crime Stoppers and Leeds County OPP officers are asking the publics assistance in their investigation into a suspected case of arson.

On Friday, November 3rd, 2006, flames were spotted at a hunting camp, located at Mountain Street and Ferguson Drive in the Township of Leeds and The Thousand Islands.

The fire completely gutted the structure as well as surrounding trees and wood piles, which were a considerable distance from the building. Total estimate of damage is $25,000.
